To view:
- Default Policy: All profiles have the option to view enabled and can access item information.
- If only this policy is enabled, users will not be able to perform any actions.
To manage:
- This policy allows users to edit, delete, relate, insert new assets into items and create new items.
- It is the broader permission, which we call content managers.
Publish:
- The publish policy, when enabled in the profile, allows users to be able to publish, unpublish and apply a term on items, in addition to being able to view the unpublished items.
Download:
- To be able to download an item, the profile must have a download policy enabled.
- If the item is unpublished, it must also have publication permission for the same item.
Sharing:
- For items unpublished due to term expiration, sharing is denied even if you have the share permission active.
- In any other cases:
- To be able to share an item, the user must have a policy assigned to his profile that allows sharing;
- If the item is unpublished for any reason other than validity, it must also have publication permission for the same item.
Hide Navigation:
- Only applicable from categories.
- When enabled, hides navigation through the structure to the category.

By applying these policies to a profile, you will be granting full access to these menus in the Manager.
- Regions;
- Divisions;
- Segments;
- Metadata;
- Categories;
- Users;
- Profiles;
- Platform;
- Tools;
- Advanced Settings.
