The platform's content managers can grant access to materials for Profiles through a category with a specific Metadata value. That means the User belonging to a certain Profile will see the Items they have permission to in their registration and the permissioned Metadata linked to the category they will have access to.
Permissioning is done in two stages:
1st - We inform in the Category that the Metadata is of the permissionable types (which will allow the values of the applied Metadata to be added to the profile);
2nd - We put the permission in the desired Profile.
Some rules worth remembering:
1 - It is only possible to allow the "List" type Metadata (type in which a filter is automatically created on the Items page), with a limit of up to 30 values per Metadata.
2 - Whenever a new value is inserted in the permissioned Metadata, the permissioning police is created.
3 - And whenever a value is deleted the permission policy is also deleted.
4 - If the manager tries to delete a Metadata or a value that is associated and allowed, this deletion is not allowed and an alert is generated on screen for the User.
5 - A Profile that has an entire Division permissioned and still has a Metadata value allowed, the User will see all items in the Division.
The reason is that the permission order is still Division, Segment, Category, and then finally Metadata.
