What is an Open Category and how to create it?

An Open Category is a category that has been configured with the “Open” parameter.

In this structure, the sharing link for items created in open categories does not expire after each download, but within 24 hours (platform sharing standard).

Which means, items from open categories can be downloaded through link sharing several times in the established period. Whether in the context of sharing assets by link, items or in bulk.

To create an Open Category:

Step 1 - Open Settings   in the upper right corner of the screen and click on the Category page;

Step 2 - Add a new registration in located next to the list search;

Step 3 - Activate the Open Categories key;

Step 4 - Fill in the mandatory data and, if you want the optional ones (see the full explanation)

Step 5 - Yap! Your Open Category is created!

Notes:

• Once set to Open, a category cannot be changed to a regular category.
• A regular category, which is already created, can be turned into an Open Category.
